Most people grew up with the idea and the mindset of lack. But in our previous post we’ve proven that God wants us to be rich and live in abundance.
People who have lived the poverty mindset for majority of their lives will struggle with the argument. They will argue things like “being rich is greedy and greed is a sin”, or “money doesn’t grow on trees“, and other such cynical thinking.
But we understand the pushback even if it’s backed by God and His word. It’s because of the fact that people are very resistant to change. Humans are habitual. Habits are comfortable, and the natural tendency of humans is to resist pain. Being uncomfortable is not ideal for humans because it involves a dose of pain to withstand the uncomfortableness. So, when we are challenged to change something, whether it’s physical or mental, we naturally resist it.
In order to receive abundance and wealth in life, what God meant us to have, we must change the foundation of our thinking.
So if you want to have an abundance of money, your mindset and beliefs about it has to change. It’s very simple, but it’s not easy – because we are human.
